Why it is not allowed to pay with high denomination banknotes when buying the single tickets at the buses or trolleybuses?

The drivers are not able to carry a large amount of cash for change and the company cannot give them the devices to verify the money, therefore we recommend the passengers to buy cheaper single tickets in newsstands or other places of sale in advance.

If you do not have the ticket in advance and there is no newsstand nearby, we kindly ask the passengers to pay for the tickets with no more than 10 euro denomination banknotes or if possible to get the money for the ticket in advance, without a change and in larger coins. The driver will take less time counting money.

This will save the time of the passengers and drivers.
